Force Motors has launched a new version of the Gurkha called Force Gurkha Xtreme that is priced at Rs. 12.99 lakhs.

Force Motors have introduced a new variant of the Gurkha christened 'Gurkha Xtreme'. The Gurkha Xtreme is similar in terms of looks and design to other variants of the SUV however Force has made a lot of changes under the hood to justify the 'Xtreme' tag.

The new Force Gurkha Xtreme is powered by a Mercedes OM 611 derived common rail engine mated to a new Mercedes-Benz G32 5-speed manual gearbox which develops 140 HP of peak power and 321 Nm of peak torque. The transmission connects the engine to a dual mass flywheel which improves NVH levels and aids in better drivability.

The SUV also gets a new transfer case and a live rigid axle in the front similar to the ones in the rear. You can also fit hub locks on the front axle, this would aid in better fuel efficiency while reducing stress on the drivetrain by engaging 2WD. It also gets air intake snorkel for deep water wading. The SUV is now more road capable along with its extreme off-roading capability with addition of these improvements.

The Force Gurkha is heavily inspired by the design of the Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen. Force has also included minor cosmetic changes on the SUV like bonnet mounted indicators, new body graphics, clear lens headlamps and a few other. The new Force Gurkha is now available for bookings and the price is set at Rs. 12.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
