The New-Gen 2021 Maruti Celerio is expected to launch in the next few months in India

The New-Gen 2021 Maruti Celerio has been undergoing rigorous testing for the last few months in the country. The upcoming hatchback was clicked during one of its early morning runs in Gurugram by our reader Manoj Kumar. It was fully camouflaged from the front to rear and nothing substantial could be noticed. Though, the New-Gen 2021 Maruti Celerio has been spotted earlier as well many times. The new version will see a decent hike in price as compared to the ongoing model due to the inclusion of new features.

The New-Gen Maruti Celerio is going to be a bit taller in size as compared to the current model, indicates these spy-images. As visible, it will get a tapered roofline with wraparound LED tail-lamps and a sculpted tailgate. One can also see the rear wiper with washer which strengthens the belief that it indeed is a range-topping variant. The various other spy-shots have also suggested that it would come with heavy updates up front which includes a restyled grille, newly designed halogen headlamps and a tweaked bumper. The new hatch might ride on new multi-spoke alloy wheels along with ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. So, in all, the overall design will take a radical departure from the current selling model.

Its interior images are not available in the public domain, but we can tell you that the New-Gen 2021 Maruti Celerio will boast of a new center console. The upholstery theme could be carried forward from the present range, albeit with improved quality. As for features, it will get the latest version of Maruti's SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay compatibility. The car will come loaded with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and high-speed alert as standard safety features. Mechanically, the New Maruti Celerio will be powered by the same 1.0-litre petrol engine while the top-spec variants could get a 1.2-litre petrol unit at the helm. The gearbox options here will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit.
