Some of the key players in the new hatchback cars segment like Maruti, Renault, Honda, Tata are handing out some really great discount offers this month. Thus as we look forward to a new year, customers can take advantage of the Year-End discounts to make a purchase decision.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios



The only hatchback in India to come with a turbo-petrol engine, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios price starts from Rs 5,12,690 with the top-end retailing at Rs 7,24,050. Its engine options comprise of a 1.2-litre petrol-manual, 1.2-litre petrol-AMT, 1.2-litre diesel-manual and 1.2-litre diesel AMT variants. The turbo petrol variant attracts net discount and benefits worth Rs 60,000. On the hand, other trims in the model line-up come with a rebate of Rs 40,000. This model has broken the established Maruti Suzuki Swift stranglehold in the Indian market. 


Hyundai Santro



The Santro is the most popular and budget-friendly car from Hyundai in the Indian market since its launch over 2 decades ago. It is one of the reasons for Hyundai becoming a household brand in the country. The discounts here are to the tune of Rs 50,000 on all the variants of the entry-level hatchback. Hyundai Santro is powered by a 1.1-litre Epsilon MPi engine equipped with both manual and automatic transmissions. The manufacturer also offers a CNG option in the Santro.


Honda Jazz Facelift 





Honda Jazz Facelift was launched in August this year with a starting price of Rs 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The premium hatchback offers plenty of exterior and interior updates, BS6-compliant engine and a new top-end ZX variant. It competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Volkswagen Polo, Tata Altroz and New-Gen Hyundai i20 in its segment. The Japanese automaker is giving a discount to the tune of Rs 40,000 on the vehicle. 


Honda WR-V  Facelift





Honda launched WR-V Facelift in India at a starting price of Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The crossover comes in two variants namely SV and VX. Currently, the model attracts discounts and benefits worth Rs 40,000. It comes with two engine options - a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The former comes with a 5-speed manual transmission while the latter is sold with 6-speed manual gearbox. Currently there is no automatic stick like we saw on the BS4 model. 


Toyota Glanza





Toyota Kirloskar Motors continues to thrive in the country with the Glanza, a rebadged Maruti Baleno in all essence. The 5-seater hatchback price starts at Rs 7.01 lakh (ex-showroom), Delhi. Transmission options here comprise of a 5-speed manual and a CVT. The Japanese manufacturer is giving benefits and discounts to the tune of Rs 30,000 on its hatchback. 


Renault Triber




With a competitive pricing, Renault Triber is a good choice for the Indian consumer due to the decent boot space, spacious interior and an automatic transmission that it has to offer. The model comes with a discount and benefits to the tune of Rs 50,000. The MPV retails at a starting price of  Rs 5.12 (ex-showroom), Delhi. It is sold with only one engine option which is a 1.0-litre petrol unit. 


Renault Kwid




The entry-level model is available at a starting price of Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom), Delhi. The French automaker is providing year-end discounts and benefits up to Rs 45,000 on the Renault Kwid. The hatchback is available with two petrol engine options - a 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre. The latter comes with an AMT option making Kwid an attractive proposition at that price.
