Bollywood is witnessing a severe storm in the form of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The drug investigation was initiated by NCB in the wake of Bollywood Star Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide. The latest name to be associated with the investigation is the Bollywood Starlet Deepika Padukone. One of the leading actresses of Bollywood, she made her debut with Om Shanti Om which also starred the Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan. Deepika Padukone was called to the NCB's temporary office in Mumbai Port Trust Guest House in Colaba on Saturday at 9.45 AM. She had to cut her stay in Goa to cooperate with the drug investigation agency. Bajirao Mastani and Padmavat fame Actress was summoned by the NCB on Wednesday and she acknowledged the same on Thursday. Well, she isn’t the only one from her tribe as her couple of contemporaries like Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan were summoned too to appear before the NCB officials on Saturday.
With the entourage of media on her trail, Deepika Padukone arrived at the NCB office in the BS4 Hyundai Creta. She evaded the snooping crowd and reached the office to answer the summons from the NCB. Co-incidentally, her debut film co-star Shahrukh Khan is the brand ambassador of Hyundai Creta. He received the first unit of 2020 Hyundai Creta on its launch in India. One of the highest-selling subcompact SUVs in the Indian market, the 2020 Hyundai Creta was launched in March earlier this year. It comes with new updates like new dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels, Boomerang-based DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), new fog lamps and a redesigned bumper.
The BS6 Hyundai Creta is retailed in India with 3 powertrains - 1.5-litre U2 CRDi Diesel, 1.5-litre MPi and 1.4-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol units. The naturally aspirated 1.5-litre MPi engine belts out 115 bhp of power and 144 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission unit as standard while CVT gearbox offered as an option. The 1.5-litre turbocharged U2 CRDi diesel unit churns out 113 bhp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes. The high-performance oriented 1.4L Kappa T-GDi engine unit belts out an impressive 140 bhp of power and 242 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) automatic gearbox.
It’s not just Deepika Padukone who answered the summons as Shraddha Kapoor too was spotted arriving at the NCB’s Colaba office. She chose the swanky Mercedes Benz GLA as her ride to the investigation bureau office. The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA comes in 3 variants - Sports, Style and Urban Edition. The GLA was first unveiled at the Indian Auto Expo 2020 earlier this year in February. The premium compact SUV comes with 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA price starts from Rs 32.33 Lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The GLA 200d Diesel delivers a power output of 136 hp and 300 Nm of torque. The 4-cylinder petrol unit on the other hand belts out 183 hp of power and 300 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines deliver power to the front wheels with the aid of an eight-speed automatic transmission.
