Coronavirus Impact: MG Hector Retrofitted to Serve as an Ambulance

MG Motor India has been keenly helping the Indian Government to fight the Coronavirus Pandemic. Recently, the automaker donated a retrofitted Hector ambulance version to healthcare authorities in Vadodara. The carmaker partnered with Ahmedabad-based Natraj Motor Body Builders and got the SUV transformed into an ambulance within a 10-day span. The entire process was carried out at the automaker’s Halol plant and MG’s engineering team was also a part of the project.

The MG Hector Ambulance comes with a plethora of features. These include an oxygen system with a cylinder, an imported auto-loading stretcher, a fire extinguisher, medicine cabinet with 5 parameter monitors, internal lighting, and a top light bar with siren and amplifier, live-saving medical equipment and an inverter with battery and sockets.

Apart from this, the company has also joined hands with Vadodra-based MAX ventilators to increase the production of ventilators. They have also provided 100 Hector SUVs to various authorities and donated Rs 2 crores to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been diligently working towards providing help to all the healthcare workers and authorities during this tough time.
