The leak confirms mild-hybrid on petrol and diesel engines.

The facelifted Ciaz is scheduled to launch on August 20 and will continue to be sold in the same four trim levels as the pre-facelift car – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha.

The car will get a mild-hybrid system, which Maruti calls Smart Hybrid, on the new 1.5-litre petrol engine and the 1.3-litre diesel motor. There is an optional automatic transmission, which will only be available with the petrol engine, and if you want the diesel car, you will have to settle for the five-speed manual.

Colour options also remain more of less the same – you can get it in blue, black, brown, red, white, grey and silver. The Ciaz facelift also gets exterior tweaks, including LED headlamps and tail-lamps (on higher-spec trims), a slightly different front bumper and a new grille shape with a chrome garnish on higher-spec variants. On the inside, there’s a new faux-wood trim on the dashboard and a new colour display instrument cluster. The Suzuki Connect app, which is offered on all Nexa cars, will come as standard.
