Ceat Tyres has announced a partnership with Jawa Motorcycles for supplying tyres for the premium Jawa Perak model, which will ride on specially designed Zoom Cruz tyres

One of India’s largest tyre manufacturers, Ceat Tyres has announced a partnership with Jawa Motorcycles. CEAT will be supplying tyres for the premium Jawa Perak model. The specially designed Zoom Cruz tyres for the bobber motorcycles will come in two configurations- 100/90 R18 for front and 140/70 R17 for rear. First unit of Jawa Perak was delivered in Hyderabad last month. Launched last year at an introductory price of Rs 1.95 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India), Jawa Perak deliveries were delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. CEAT in a statement to the media outlets said they worked in collaboration with Jawa to develop the new tyres.

The tyres will improve the bike’s ride quality and control at high speeds as per the statement released by the RPG Enterprises. Talking in detail about the tyres and partnership, Amit Tolani, Chief Marketing Officer, CEAT Tyres Ltd released a statement to the media outlets. He said  "We are excited to partner with an iconic and premium motorcycle brand like Jawa Motorcycles. The Jawa Perak has recorded an overwhelming response since its entry. We are glad to deliver Zoom Cruz tyres as per expectations and look forward to a long partnership with Jawa Motorcycles."

Tyres determine how a motorcycle behaves in different road conditions while managing good traction on uneven roads. The fuel efficiency, high speed, ride quality are dependent on tyres quality. It’s an interesting partnership between the iconic motorcycle brand and a prestigious tyre brand. The Jawa Perak packs quite a punch with the 334cc, liquid-cooled DOHC engine. The BS6 compliant engine belts out 30 bhp of maximum power output and 33 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed constant-mesh gearbox. The Jawa Perak is being retailed in India with a dual-channel ABS as a standard offering. The suspension system on the flagship bike consists of telescopic forks at the front and adjustable shock absorber at the rear. Jawa Perak bike comes with twin disc brakes- 280mm at the front while a 240 mm at the rear. Jawa Perak competitors in the Indian market are the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Benelli Imperiale.
