TVS launches BS6 TVS Scooty Pep Plus launched at a price tag of Rs 51,754.

Supreme Court Of India recently extended the deadline to 24th April 2020 for BS4 vehicles sale and purchase in the country. The extension is helping automobile firms to sell off their existing BS4 stock to make space for new BS6 arrivals. Keeping with the theme of BS6 launches, TVS recently launched Scooty Pep Plus in India at the price of Rs 51,754 (ex-showroom).  The standard variant of TVS Scooty Pep Plus will cost Rs 51,754 while the Babelicious and Matte Edition Series will set you back by Rs 52,954.

The new BS6 scooter standard variant will be Rs 6,700 more than the outgoing BS4 one. The BS6 models are expensive than the BS4 ones with the Babelicious and Matte Edition series having a hike of Rs 6,400 over the corresponding BS4 variants. We have seen in the recent launches by many automobile brands that the BS6 launched products come with cosmetic changes and engine up-gradation from BS4 to BS6. Likewise, BS6 TVS Scooty Pep Plus comes with 2 new paint schemes namely Coral Matte and Aqua Matte.

Coming to the engine specifications, BS6 TVS Scooty Pep Plus is powered by a BS6 compliant 4 stroke single cylinder forced air-cooled petrol engine. This 87.8 cc engine generates 4.93 bhp of maximum power output and 5.8 Nm of peak torque. It is equipped with Automatic CVT with torque sensor. TVS states that the new BS6 TVS Scooty Pep Plus will offer better performance in terms of pick-up and fuel efficiency.

The Chennai based automaker also gives a 12V socket for the users to charge their mobile phones with a side stand alarm. Dimension wise, the wheelbase stands at 1230 mm with a ground clearance of 135 mm.  Scooty Pep Plus offers a fuel tank capacity of 5 litres.  The company is offering an extanded warranty on the scooter with no extra cost for 5 years.
