The BS6 compliant TVS Radeon is nearly Rs 6000-8000 more expensive than the BS4 model.

TVS Motor Company has silently launched the BS6 Radeon motorcycle at a starting price of Rs 58,992 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. Being available in three variants, BS6 TVS Radeon is nearly Rs 6000-8000 more expensive than the BS4 counterpart. The updated BS6 bike doesn't get any cosmetic updates while it comes equipped with a BS6 compliant engine. TVS Radeon takes on the likes of Hero Splendor Plus and Honda CB Shine in the Indian market.

The BS6 TVS Radeon is similar to the BS4 model in terms of styling and features. It flaunts the same headlamp setup with chrome bezel and LED DRL unit. The fuel tank gets high quality thigh pads which are made of rubber. The motorcycle retains the twin-pod instrument cluster which was one of its most talked about features in the BS4 model. TVS has given extensive chrome treatment to the bike at various places such as crash guard, exhaust pipe, pillion grab rail and lady pillion handle with hook etc. among others. The BS6 TVS Radeon entry-level Base Edition is offered in a total of six color options: Pearl White, Royal Purple, Golden Beige, Metal Black, Volcano Red and Titanium Grey.

Mechanically, the BS6 TVS Radeon draws power from the same 109.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine which has been equipped with electronic fuel injection (Eco-Thrust Fuel Injection) to comply with the BS6 emission norms. The company has claimed that it delivers nearly 15 percent more mileage than the BS4 model while the power output and torque performance have seen a marginal decline. The top power stands at 8bhp as compared to BS4 model's 8.3bhp however, the peak torque remains the same at 8.7Nm at 4500rpm. The BS6 TVS Radeon Special Edition is available in two color schemes: Chrome Black and Chrome White. Below is the variant-wise price of BS6 TVS Radeon:

TVS Radeon Base Edition - Rs 58,992
TVS Radeon Special Edition (Drum Brake) - Rs 61,992
TVS Radeon Special Edition (Disc Brake) - Rs 64,992
