TVS Motor Company has given a second price hike of Rs 1050 to Apache RTR 200 4V after its BS6 update earlier this year. Now the bike is available at Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom). The company launched Apache RTR 200 4V in November last year. At the beginning of 2020, TVS upgraded the Apache RTR 200 4V to meet the BS6 Emission Norms and re-launched it at Rs 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle received its first price hike of Rs 2500 in May 2020. After this price hike, the bike was offered at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom). There has been no design or engine update on this two-wheeler.

Cosmetically, the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 V features new a LED headlamp along with redesigned position lamps. Other highlights include feather touch start, race-tuned slipper clutch, and Bluetooth enabled LCD instrument cluster that supports the brand’s ‘SmartXConnect Technology’. Through this technology one can easily access a host of information such as rider telemetry data. Furthermore, the motorcycle also gets new body graphics. The brand’s Glide Through Technology helps the bike to ride smoothly in stop-start traffic.

Mechanically, the Apache RTR 200 V draws power from a new fuel-injected 197.75cc single-cylinder, four-valve engine that churns out 20.2 bhp power and 16.8 Nm torque. The engine is offered with a five-speed gearbox. When compared to its BS4 counterpart, the torque number has decreased from 18.1 Nm @ 7000 rpm to 16.8 Nm @ 7500 rpm with the BS6 update.

The bike retains the suspension and brake setup from its BS4 counterpart. Suspension duties are taken care by telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock setup towards the rear. Talking about the brake setup, then the two-wheeler gets petal disc brakes at both ends along with dual-channel ABS.
