Hero MotoCorp's plans of launching the BS6 Hero Xpulse 200 has been hit by COVID 19 but what we can tell you is that the specifications of this motorcycle have been revealed on the company official website.  The BS6 Hero Xpulse 200 now delivers less power in comparison to the outgoing BS4 model.

BS6 Hero Xpulse 200 offers a 199.6cc oil-cooled, 4 Stroke 2 Valve Single cylinder OHC petrol engine. The powertrain is capable of producing 17.8 bhp of maximum power output @ 8500 RPM and 16.45 Nm of peak torque @ 6500 RPM. The motorcycle comes with a 5 speed constant mesh gearbox system with a multi plate wet clutch system. Its fuel tank capacity stands at 13 litres.

The dimensions like length, width, height and the wheelbase remain the same as the BS4 motorcycle. Kerb weight is 157 kgs which is 3 Kgs more than the out going model due to the addition of new components. The rerouted exhaust system should result in lesser ground clearance for the BS6 Hero Xpulse 200 but the figure still stands at 220mm which is the same as the earlier model. Previously, customers could either opt for fuel injection or a carburetted version of the Xpulse 200 but now, it is only the fuel injected that is available.

BS6 Hero Xpulse 200 would be offered in 5 different colours – White, Matte Green, Matte Grey, Sports Red and Panther Black. Styling and feature-wise, the motorcycle remains the same as its predecessor. There is no word on the price yet but we expect it to be higher than the BS4 model. The launch will happen shortly once the Coronavirus situation normalizes.
