The Indian automotive sector endured a turbulent April with nationwide restrictions affecting sales and operations. With the easing of restrictions, Datsun has today launched the BS6 compliant Go and Go+ in India. Datsun GO BS6 and Datsun GO+ BS6 are available for the buyers at a starting price of Rs 3.99 Lakhs and Rs 4.19 Lakhs, respectively (Ex-Showroom, India). The BS6 compliant version of the mid-sized hatch and sub-compact MPV are Rs 7,000 to Rs 25,000 more expensive than the outgoing BS4 vehicles. With the current financial climate, Datsun has announced an attractive scheme for the Indian consumers aptly named 'Buy now, pay in 2021'. Customers can start paying the EMI from 2021 as per the new scheme.
Datsun is now offering a sports mode with CVT gearbox. Datsun Go and Go+ are powered by a 1.2-litre engine coming in two different tunes. The BS6 compliant engine churns out 67 bhp of maximum power and 104 Nm of peak torque when coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. If the engine is coupled to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), the new BS6 engine delivers 76bhp of power output and 104Nm of peak torque.
Datsun Go and Go+ ride on diamond-cut 14-inch alloy wheels while flaunting LED DRLs with a ground clearance of 180mm. The Datsun Go & Go Plus share the same platform, components and mechanical parts. Dimension wise, Datsun Go and Go + differ in measurement. The Datsun Go hatchback measures 3,788 mm in length, 1,636mm in width and 1,507 mm in height.
