Suzuki has launched the BS 6 Gixxer range in India which consists of Gixxer, Gixxer SF and Gixxer SF MotoGP Edition.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the BS 6 compliant Gixxer range at a starting price of Rs 1,11,871 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The Gixxer trio, comprising of Gixxer, Gixxer SF and Gixxer SF MotoGP Edition, is the first BS 6 offering in the motorcycle segment from the Japanese bikemaker in India. The Gixxer SF & Gixxer SF MotoGP attract a price of Rs 1,21,871 and Rs 1,22,900 (Both prices are Ex. Showroom, Delhi). For those asking, the BS 6 compliant Suzuki Gixxer range was also showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo with claims that the new engine is tuned to meet the world’s strictest and cleanest emission regulations.

As for styling, the motorcycles come with LED headlamp while riding on sporty 6-spoke alloy wheels. The rear end features GIXXER styled LED tail lamp cluster and dual-muffler for the exhaust outlet. Commenting on the launch of BS6 compliant GIXXER series, Mr. Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “We feel proud to announce the launch of our BS6 compliant GIXXER series, ahead of the regulation deadline. Suzuki Motorcycle India has plans to grow at a robust pace with its flagship brand, GIXXER. Both BS6 compliant GIXXER SF and GIXXER, designed keeping the Indian customers in mind, have become even more environment friendly without compromising on the overall power and performance.”

 

The standard Suzuki Gixxer will be available in two dual-tone color options in form of Metallic Sonic Silver/Glass Sparkle Black & Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black while it can also be availed in Glass Sparkle Black single-tone color. The Suzuki Gixxer SF is offered in Metallic Sonic Silver/Glass Sparkle Black dual-tone paint scheme and Glass Sparkle Black single-tone color. Last but not the least, the Suzuki Gixxer SF MotoGP Edition will be available in an exclusive Metallic Triton Blue shade. Mechanically, the trio will be powered by the BS 6 compliant 155cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder fuel injection, air-cooled SOHC petrol engine with SEP technology. It develops top power of 13.5bhp at 8000rpm and peak torque of 13.8Nm at 6000rpm while ABS also comes as a standard safety feature.
