Modified Royal Enfield Classic 500 resembles Transformer, comes in Satin Gold Shade

Bike enthusiasts all over the world are making a beeline for modified motorcycles. Improving their existing bike be it in terms of design or performance is quietly becoming a trend. Modifying a bike isn’t an easy task, improving it further demands energy, dedication and skill. We have covered a fair bit of modified motorcycles from across the world with some of them being a class above the rest. Royal Enfield motorcycles are quietly becoming a favourite among automobile designers due to their affordability and performance. Some of the Royal Enfield modifications be it the Las Vegas or the electric modified Enfield in Ludhiana are simply stunning. Keeping in with the theme of modified Royal Enfield motorcycles, we bring to your attention the 'Asura'.

Named Asura, the modified Royal Enfield motorcycle stands out for its unique approach. Mumbai Based Maratha Motorcycles has surprised us and many by picking up the discontinued BS4 Royal Enfield UCE 500. Most of the designers have gone for the highly popular 650 twins - Interceptor and Continental GT. So the key highlights of the Asura is the customized LED Headlamp and tail light set-up along with the rear monoshock, belt-drive and a sculpted fuel tank thrown into the package. Its styling does not end here, the modifiers have added elements like USD front forks, bar-end mirrors, single side swingarm and other minor revamped components.

The custom design outfit has given the Asura a satin gold shade finish. The bike features 120/70ZR rubber upfront while the rear stands to provide 240/45ZRA section riding on black alloy wheels. According to them, they have developed the diamond-outlet exhaust system in-house. The engine of this motorcycle remains the same as the stock version. Thus the BS4 Royal Enfield UCE 500 came powered by a 500cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that developed 27.2 bhp of maximum power and 41.3 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties  were handled by a 5-speed unit. The stock BS4 Classic 500 weighs around 196 Kgs and comes with a fuel tank capacity of 13.5-litres.
