Honda 2-Wheelers India has taken the automobile industry by storm with the launch of BS 6 compliant Dio scooter at a starting price of Rs 60,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Japanese automaker gave the Auto Expo 2020 a miss but didn’t miss the chance to gain a foothold in the scooter segment with their Dio scooter. It has been launched in 2 variants - Standard and Deluxe.

The standard variant of BS 6 Honda Dio comes in 4 colors- Vibrant orange, Candy Jazz Blue, Mat Axis Grey Metallic and Sports Red. The Deluxe variant of Dio will be offered in 3 shades in form of Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Mat Sangria Red Metallic & Mat Axis Grey Metallic.

Honda Dio is powered by a BS 6 compliant 110 cc engine with programmed fuel injection and Honda Eco Technology while the stunning features include an all-LED headlamp and digital instrument cluster. The rear profile gets a three-step adjustable rear suspension with a high beam/low beam controller switch. The engine generates top power of 7.68bhp at 8,000rpm and peak torque of 8.79Nm at 5,250rpm. The BS6 compliant engine gets the fuel injection system to meet the Indian Govt's new stricter emission norms.

The scooter now offers better comfort as it gets conventional telescopic forks upfront for the first time. The scooter offers an Integrated Dual Function Switch which will help you to open the seat and the external Fuel Lid with just a single switch. New Honda BS6 Dio is safety-oriented with a side stand Engine Cut-off function that stops the engine from starting while the side stand is engaged. The wheelbase of the scooter has been increased for better stability.

The new BS6 Honda Dio has been launched at a price of Rs 60,000 for the Standard and Rs 63,340 for the Deluxe variant. The new Honda Dio is offered with 6 years' warranty - 3 years' standard warranty and 3 years' additional optional warranty.
