Today, BMW India has launched the X5 M Competition in the country at a starting price of Rs 1.94 crore (ex-showroom), India. The powerful Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) will rival the likes of Lamborghini Urus and Audi RSQ8 in the domestic market. The new X5 M Competition signals the German automaker's intent to make its presence felt in the niche performance-oriented car segment. The All-New BMW X5 M Competition will be brought to the country through the Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU) route. From today onwards, the newly-launched BMW model will be available across all authorized  dealerships in India. 

The performance SUV comes in the following metallic colours namely Carbon Black, Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Marina Bay Blue, Donnington Grey, Manhattan Green and Tornado Red. Additionally, the Indian buyer can also opt for BMW Individual colours which are Tanzanite Blue and Ametrine. In terms of exterior design, the vehicle provides an imposing and aggressive outlook due to the large front bumper air intake to feed additional air to the cooler. It also comes with a roof and a lower tailgate spoiler to enhance the aerodynamic quality. The performance-driven model rides on exclusive 21-inch M light-alloy wheels in the front, while the rear stands to provide 22-inch star-spoke style 809 ‘M’ Bi-color wheels.

Moving on to interiors, the X5 M Competition comes loaded with a 12.3-inch multifunction display touchscreen, iDrive Touch Controller and steering mounted controls. Additionally, the cabin boasts of voice control feature and optional BMW Gesture Control. The premium BMW Live Cockpit Professional comes with a navigation system with the BMW Virtual Assistant being offered as standard fitment. Adding to the charm is the presence of wireless charging, a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System plus the buyer can opt for additional enhancements like panorama glass roof sky lounge, acoustic glazing and ambient air package.

New BMW X5 M Competition is powered by the latest-generation V8 TwinPower Turbo petrol. This powerplant delivers an astounding output of 600 bhp  @ h6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 750 Nm. The transmission duty here is taken care by an advanced 8-speed M Steptronic automatic gearbox featuring a three-stage Drivelogic shifting system. Performance wise, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds while the manufacturer has electronically limited the top speed to 250 kmph.
