BMW Motorrad India has launched the 2021 R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure in the country. The former is priced at Rs 20.45 Lakhs while the latter attracts a sticker price of Rs 22.40 Lakhs (Both the prices are Ex. Showroom, India). Being available as Completely Built-up Units (CBU), BMW R 1250 GS and BMW R 1250 GS Adventure will be booked, sold and serviced at the BMW Motorrad dealerships. The brand is also offering a comprehensive range of optional equipment and original BMW Motorcycle accessories with the R 1250 duo.

 



The new BMW R 1250 GS and new BMW R 1250 GS Adventure are available in a basic colour scheme, style triple black variant and Style Rallye variant. Additionally, the company has also introduced the limited edition special "40 Years GS" edition that celebrates the anniversary of the BMW GS family. The duo is offered in a basic light white and ice grey dual-tone paint scheme while the style triple black variant can be availed in Blackstorm metallic/ black/agate grey colour combination. The Style Rallye variant comes in a light white solid paint/racing blue metallic/racing red solid paint colour combination. As for the BMW 40 Years GS limited edition, it is available in a black and yellow scheme, reminiscent of the iconic BMW R 100 GS.

Both the bikes get a new full LED adaptive headlight with X-shaped light icons. New lighting functions, cruising light and function-integrated turn indicator bulbs come as optional equipment. The rider is greeted by a ‘Welcome’ light as soon as the ignition is switched on while ‘Goodbye’ light activates front and rear lights for a short moment and then slowly dimmed after switching off the ignition. The headlight also boasts of a ‘Follow me Home’ function which gets activated on the press of the high beam button. Some of the notable features include heated grips, two USB sockets, USB-A socket for quick charging, 6.5 inch full-color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, BMW Motorred Connected app and BMW Motorred multi-controller.




BMW R 1250 GS and BMW R 1250 GS Adventure are powered by a 1254cc 2-cylinder in-line Boxer petrol engine which delivers top power of 134 bhp at 7750 rpm and peak torque of 143 Nm at 6250 rpm. Both the bikes are equipped with three riding modes namely Rain, Road and Eco. In addition, there are four Pro riding modes in the form of Dynamic, Dynamic Pro, Enduro and Enduro Pro. A few safety features onboard are Electronic Dynamic ESA, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Start Control Pro (HSC Pro), and BMW Integral ABS Pro. The motorcycles come with a standard warranty of three years/unlimited kilometers with an option to extend the warranty to fourth and fifth year. Furthermore, Road-Side Assistance - a 24x7 365 days package - also comes as complementary with the R 1250 GS duo.
