The German Car manufacturer BMW is all set to digitally launch the two new cars namely the 8 Series Gran Coupe and the M8 Competiton in India on the 8th of May 2020. Once the price is revealed officially, the interested customers can then go ahead and purchase the newly launched cars via BMW Contactless Experience. The BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe has already been listed on the company official website.
The new BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe is a 4-door derivative of the 8 Series. It is going to replace the 6-Series Gran Coupe in India. The company is expected to introduce the 840i variant of the Gran Coupe. it is likely to be priced at Rs 1.4 crore (ex-showroom). Compared to the 8-Series Coupe, the Gran Coupe will be longer from the A-pillar. The increase in length gives it a longer wheelbase. Under the skin, BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe will be powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, twin-turbo petrol engine. The engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 335 bhp with 500 Nm of peak torque. It will come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

While BMW M8 Competition is a high-performance version of the regular 8 Series. It will be far more expensive with an expected starting price tag of Rs 2.3 crore (ex-showroom). The two-door coupe sources power from a 4.4-litre, V-8 engine that delivers 625 bhp power and 750 Nm torque. This engine here comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with an all-wheel-drive system.
