Bajaj Pulsar 125

Bajaj Auto has silently launched the BS6 Pulsar 125 at a starting price of Rs 69,996 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. Being the entry-level model in the Pulsar range, it is being introduced in two variants: Disc and Drum. The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 125 is nearly Rs 6000-7500 more expensive than the outgoing BS4 model. There are no cosmetic updates to the BS6 model besides the new engine. Bajaj Pulsar 125 competes against the likes of Honda Shine SP 125 and Hero Glamour 125 in the Indian market.

Like we mentioned before, Bajaj Pulsar 125 BS6 doesn't get any cosmetic updated while retaining all the existing features such as the semi-digital instrument cluster, single-piece seat, alloy wheels, wolf-eyed halogen headlamp, colour coordinated Pulsar logo, rear pillion grab rail and dual-LED tail-lamps. It will be available in a total of three color options: Neon Blue, Solar Red and Platinum Silver. The bike gets telescopic forks as front suspension and twin rear gas shock absorbers as rear suspension. The braking duties are done by a 130 mm drum brake at the rear and a 170 mm drum brake at the front while Combined Braking System (CBS) comes as standard feature. Though, a 240mm disc brake is also on offer as option with the bike.

Mechanically, it is powered by the same 124.4cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine, albeit with BS6 emission norms fulfilled. Being equipped with fuel-injection technology, it generates a top power of 12bhp at 8500rpm and peak torque of 11Nm at 6500rpm. The power and torque figures remain the same as the outgoing BS4 model. The engine is linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The bookings for the new motorcycle has already commenced at Bajaj Dealerships across the nation while deliveries are also underway. Below is the Bajaj Pulsar 125 BS6 price in India (variant-wise):

BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Drum - Rs 69,996
BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Disc - Rs 74,118
