Bajaj has launched the Platina 110 CBS which uses the engine from the Discover 110.

Bajaj Auto launched the Platina 110 CBS, a new variant of the Platina 110. The new variant is now available at dealerships throughout India for a price of Rs. 49,300/- (ex-showroom).

The new variant follows several changes including an upgraded engine. The new Platina 110 now uses a 115.5cc air-cooled DTS-i engine as seen on the Discover 110 instead of the old 102cc air-cooled DTS-i engine. The new engine produces 8.6 HP peak power and 9.81 Nm peak torque. It is also 3 mm longer (at 2006 mm now) and 7 mm taller (at 1076 mm now). However, fuel tank capacity has reduced marginally by 0.5-litres and now holds 11-litres.

Keeping in mind the upcoming safety regulations to be maintained by bike manufacturers with engines below 125cc from April 2019, the new Platina 110 now comes with Combi-Braking System (CBS). Drums brakes come as a standard fitment for both ends while there’s an option of front disc.

There aren’t any changes on the design front as the bike had recently undergone a reconstruction. The new Platina 110 comes at a premium of Rs. 2000/- over the current bike’s price.
