The homegrown automaker Bajaj Auto has registered its highest ever monthly sales report in the November month.

The overall sales figures stand at 1,67,109 units which is 18.27 % year on growth. This boost in sales will help neutralize the effects of company’s 14% decline in the domestic market this year which is 1,76,337 units in November 2019. The overall sales performance is acting as a shield in the ongoing carnage in the Indian automobile market.

Even when the domestic motorcycle manufacturer steers clear out of the storm in the automobile slowdown, the company rests assured owning to its strong export market performance.

This year the company has shipped a total of 12,58,087 motorcycles overseas from the period April 2019 to November 2019. The number translates to 8.26 % YoY growth as the company shipped 11,62,061 motorcycles in the same time period in the previous year.
In the domestic market, the company posted a cumulative sales of 11,62,061 units from the period between (April-November 2019) which makes for a 12.56% YoY decline when compared to the 17,73,974 units in the period marked by April 2018 -November 2018.

The managing director of Bajaj Auto Ltd, Rajiv Bajaj credited the company’s  outperformance in comparison to its rivals to the company’s strategy of segment innovation, a sharp focus on exports, and tight control on costs.

The company’s strategy is proving effective in riding out of storm that has left several automakers stressed and tensed. The company’s strategy of low-cost innovation in the 100-110 cc commuter bike segment has proved to be effective. Bajaj auto is eyeing on to take a 25% motorcycle market share in the domestic bike market. To achieve this target expect the bike maker to speed up the production process in coming four months.
