Bajaj Discover BS6

Bajaj Auto India has already launched the BS6 versions of most of the bikes in its portfolio in India. However, the company for reasons best known to them, didn't update the Discover 110 and V-range to BS6 emission norms while also delisting the duo from its official website. Now, it is going to change soon as our friends at AutoCar India report that Bajaj Discover 110 and Bajaj V-series is all set to return with BS6 compliant engines in the next few months. So, the rumors of permanent discontinuation of these bikes is incorrect and baseless.

V series

How Bajaj has upgraded its product line-up is not bizarre as almost every other bikemaker such as Hero, Honda and TVS have also followed the same route of updating the most popular bikes first. The V-series and Discover 110 are two low-selling models in Bajaj's product portfolio and hence, the home-grown automaker kept them for last while upgrading its popular Pulsar and Dominar range initially. The company is also working on a few all-new models for the Indian market. Furthermore, the current situation in the country is terrible due to COVID-19 pandemic. Both these reasons might delay the launch of Discover 110 BS6 and V-series BS6 by a few more months but they will certainly get the updated engine.

Bajaj Discover 110 had received the last update in February 2019 when it was equipped with the CBS as it was made mandatory in two-wheelers by the Indian government from April 1, 2019. Similarly, the Bajaj V15 was last updated in December 2018 with the introduction of a new 'Power Up' variant. The popularity of the duo has come down as new models have arrived in the market. It is to be seen if Bajaj will also add cosmetic updates to the two bikes when they are launched with a BS6 compliant engine a few months later. Bajaj is still exporting the Discover range and V-series to international markets where they still comply with the current emission standards.
