Audi RS Q8 India launch is scheduled for 27th August 2020. Being the most powerful SUV in the Audi lineup, it is the fastest SUV to run at the famous Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Audi India had opened the bookings for the SUV earlier this month at Rs 15 Lakhs. The teaser released on Audi’s official Twitter handle confirms the RS Q8 launch date. Prices are not yet revealed but we can expect the SUV to be retailed around Rs 2 Crores. Once launched, the new Audi RS Q8 will compete against the likes of BMW X6 M, Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo S and even the Mercedes AMG GLE 63 Coupe In India.
This would be the fourth Audi launch in India following the recent RS7 Sportback debut in July this year. In design, the Audi RS Q8 is more aggressive in comparison to the Q8 coupe version. The SUV looks imposing with 22-inch alloy wheels, revamped single-frame grille and downforce-generating signature RS roof spoiler. At the rear, one can spot a completely new diffuser and bigger quad exhausts. In the interior, one can expect the Audi Virtual Cockpit with digital gauge cluster and dual touchscreen infotainment system. The cabin design will be similar to the standard Q8 model with some signature RS touches here and there. The Alacantara leather upholstery will give a premium feel to the powerful Audi SUV. The German luxury automaker will offer tech features like support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Navigation assistance and 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot.
Talking about the performance, Audi RS Q8 will have the same engine as the recently launched Audi RS7 Sportback. The SUV will be powered by the powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing a massive 600 bhp of maximum power and an 800 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 48-Volt mild-hybrid technology. Transmission duties will be handled by an 8-speed automatic unit. As expected, the all-new SUV will come with Quattro all-wheel-drive system and all-wheel steering. Talking about the numbers, the SUV will do 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds and clock a maximum speed of 305 kmph.
