Aston Martin has launched the DBX SUV in the Indian market at a price of Rs 3.82 Crores (ex-showroom, India). This is the first SUV to arrive from the legendary British automaker while it has been under development since 2015. After overseeing the virtual development of the vehicle, the ultra-luxury automaker started physical testing last year in Wales. This marks the entry of Aston Martin into the high-end luxury SUV segment in India which is fairly competitive with rivals like Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

Dimension-Wise, the DBX is longer than Porsche Cayenne but smaller than Bentley Bentayga. With a wheelbase of 3,060mm, the cabin is longer than both of its rivals. It is based on an all-new, bonded aluminium platform and weighs over 2.2 tonnes. Moving on to the design, the SUV flaunts the signature Aston Martin fascia featuring typical DB front grille. Other key highlights include ducktail boot lid spoiler, frameless doors and connected LED taillights. The SUV design is enhanced by twin exhausts integrated into the bumper and roof-mounted spoiler. It rides on a massive set of 22-inch alloy wheels.

Interior is stunning, to say the least with the cabin boasting of full-grain leather upholstery sourced from Bridge of Weir. Further, the interior comes loaded with features like 12.3-inch TFT digital instrument panel, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED ambient lighting, panoramic glass roof and 360-degree camera. As expected, the infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay. The DBX comes with a large 632-litre boot with the rear seat coming in a 40:20:40 split ratio for added flexibility.

Aston Martin DBX is powered by a Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. The SUV delivers a massive 542 bhp of power output and 700 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a nine-speed torque converter automatic transmission unit. As per the manufacturer, the SUV can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 291 kmph.
