Tata Motors has also introduced a new Adventure Edition which is priced at Rs 20.20 Lakhs

Tata Motors has finally announced the price of the iconic Safari SUV today. The legendary SUV is retailed at Rs 14.69 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The price goes as high as Rs 21.45 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-end Adventure edition.

Talking about the Adventure Edition, it offers a distinctively rugged look. It will be available in a distinct tropical mist color inspired by the misty green of the tropical trees. The exterior offers a stunning combination of piano black and granite black finishes across the front grille and the roof rails. On the sides, it gets 18-inch charcoal grey machined alloys. The cabin boasts of premium earthy brown interiors complemented by the rich hues of dark chrome and piano black materials. 


Coming back to the standard Safari variants, they are based on the OMEGARC architecture. The iconic SUV retains the silhouette of Tata Harrier. However, it does get subtle cosmetic changes. Design bits include a new tri-arrow grille with a chrome finish, Xenon HID projector headlamps, roof rails with ‘Safari’ inscribed on them and 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear end boasts of a new D-pillar design, a large quarter glass, a new set of LED tail-lamps, and slim fog lamps.


 


Talking about the cabin of the new Tata Safari, it comes with a 6-seat and 7-seat configuration. Furthermore, the cabin is finished in Benecke Kaliko Oyster White theme with Ash Wood inserts for the dashboard. The three-row is intelligently designed to offer a stadium-seating effect. The SUV comes with captain seats in the second row. Tata has equipped the Safari with segment-first features. These include a panoramic sunroof, fully automatic climate control, an 8.8-inch floating island touchscreen infotainment with iRA connectivity, 9 JBL speakers & a subwoofer among many others. The safety features include all-disc brakes, Electronic parking brakes with auto hold, dual front airbags etc. to name.


The all-new Safari houses a 2.0L 4-cylinder Kryotech diesel engine. The motor generates a top power of 167 bhp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. Furthermore, the top-end XZ variant gets terrain response modes as standard.
