Tata Motors will be virtually unveiling the all-new Punch in the Indian market on October 4. The homegrown automaker has sent a formal invite confirming the same. The new Tata Punch will share its ALFA underpinnings with the Tata Altroz hatchback. It will be launched next month in the Indian market.

Tata Punch: Design

Design-wise, the 2021 Punch adopts the family design language. The front grille and DRLs get chrome underlining. The lower grille, on the other hand, features an inverted tri-arrow design on the mesh. Furthermore, the micro-SUV flaunts a sporty front bumper that accommodates round fog lamps and wide air intakes.

Tata Punch: Features

A few days back, Tata had released the interior image of the micro SUV. The image gave us an idea of the cabin of the vehicle. It boasts of dual-tone upholstery. Besides featuring a semi-digital instrument cluster, the all-new Punch will come loaded with a host of features. These include chrome inside door handles, manual-dimming IRVM, automatic climate control with rectangular AC vents, all power windows, and a flat-bottom steering wheel with multi-function controls. The image also revealed a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. The unit will be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In terms of safety features, the micro-SUV is likely to get dual-front airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, height-adjustable seat belts for front seats, and ABS with EBD.

Tata Punch: Engine Specifications

Performance-wise, we can expect the all-new Punch to get a couple of petrol engine options. The micro-SUV might get a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated unit that is capable of returning a top power of 85 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. This particular engine is likely to come mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The homegrown automaker might also equip the top-end trim of the upcoming Punch with a 1.2-litre turbocharged motor. This engine is likely to deliver 108 bhp power and 140 Nm torque.
