To go on sale by 2025 in the Indian market, it is based on the Pure EV GEN 3 platform

Tata Motors has unraveled the all-electric Avinya concept which will go on sale by 2025 in the Indian market. Based on the GEN 3 architecture, Tata Avinya is inspired by a catamaran. The term 'Avinya' stands for ‘Innovation’ in Sanskrit language. Boasting of ‘Minimize- Maximize – Optimize' philosophy, it will come with a minimum 500 kms range in under 30 minutes charging time. The company had showcased yet another all-electric concept last week in the form of the Curvv which will be launched before the Avinya.

Design-wise, Tata Avinya will flaunt a new silhouette alongside ‘Butterfly’ doors. Other elements in the SUV Concept include DRLs at front and rear, functional console inspired steering wheel and voice activated systems for a deeper interface for all its passengers. Surprisingly, Tata Avinya Concept has been made screen-less to bar any distractions inside the car. The Pure EV GEN 3 platform has the next level of water proofing and dust protection which makes it ready for all forms of terrains. Furthermore, the battery used will support an ultra-fast charge capability. Meanwhile, in other news, Tata Motors will launch the long-range version of the Nexon electric SUV on May 11, 2022 in the Indian market.

Speaking at this landmark occasion, Mr. N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons and Tata Motors said, “While making the AVINYA Concept a reality, the central idea was to offer a mobility solution like no other – a state of the art software on wheels that is well designed, sustainable and reduces the planet’s carbon footprint. Green Mobility is at the nucleus of TPEM, and the AVINYA Concept is the perfect reflection of what the company stands for – a creation that will not only accelerate the adoption of EVs but also lead this movement. Furthermore, at the Tata group, we are uniquely positioned to bring all the expertise that is necessary to build these mobility solutions and we are confident that in years to come we will make a larger and sustainable impact not only in India but globally as well.”
