  • Husqvarna Vektorr will be powered by Chetak's 4kW battery pack
  • It will have a range of 95kms and top speed of 45kmph

Husqvarna Motorcycles has unveiled the Vektorr all-electric scooter in concept form. Recently, the company had taken the wraps off the E-Pilen concept electric motorcycle. Being based on the Bajaj Chetak, it will be the first electric scooter ever produced by Husqvarna Motorcycles. The production-ready version of the all-electric scooter is expected to launch by mid 2022. Husqvarna Vektorr will be locally developed at Bajaj's manufacturing unit in Chakan as a part of agreement between Bajaj and Pierer Mobility.

Husqvarna Vektorr concept follows the company's latest design language as we have seen in many recent products. The front fascia flaunts the signature Husqvarna LED headlamp in circular shape which appears to have been borrowed from the Svartpilen and Vitpilen motorcycles. The beak-like rear section lends it a premium look while complimented well by the dual-tone black and white paint scheme with shades of bright yellow. However, it remains to be seen whether all along with the single piece seat this makes it to the production version. Customers can get an exclusive glimpse of the Husqvarna Motorcycles E-Pilen Concept and Vektorr Concept at the PIERER Mobility AG special exhibition in the KTM Motohall in Mattighofen, Austria.

Husqvarna Vektorr uses the same chassis as the Bajaj Chetak electric while expected to get the similar suspension setup in the form of a trailing link upfront and monoshock at the rear. In all likelihood, it will be powered by the same 4kW battery as the Chetak. The company has given out the official figures of range and top speed as 95kms and 45kmph, respectively. For those asking, Bajaj Chetak electric has a range of 95kms in Eco mode and 85kms in Sport mode while clocking a top speed of 70kmph. Bajaj and Pierer Mobility, the parent company of Husqvarna & KTM, have joined hands to introduce a plethora of new products in the 4 to 11 kW electric two-wheeler space and achieve the status of world leader.
