MG Motor India is getting ready to introduce not one model but many car models in the coming few months. The new 6-seater SUV could be launched somewhere around Feb- March 2020 period.

One of the car models is the 6 -seater three-row SUV that will be based on MG Hector. The 6- seater SUV was spotted being tested earlier and based on the spy shots it can be said that the new SUV will get different styling on the front and rear end, new alloy wheel designs, different interiors and 3- row six-seat cabin.

This new SUV will be positioned above Hector, but the SUV will be known by a different name just like the Tata has done with the Harrier and Gravitas. Tata named the 7-seater variant of the Harrier SUV as Gravitas. This means that MG will market the new SUV as a more premium SUV offering in the Indian car market. As far as styling is concerned, the 6 - seater MG SUV draws inspiration from updated Baojun 530 SUV that is sold in China.

It gets updated grille with honeycomb inserts, new LED daytime running lamp design, new headlamps, and chin. The SUV gets a new rear apple due to revamped tail-lamps, faux-dual exhaust tips, new rear bumper design.

The new MG SUV will receive premium interiors adorned with faux-brushed-aluminium trimming.

However, the USP of the SUV is the massive 10.4-inch infotainment screen and a panoramic sunroof that adds to the appeal.

Under the hood, the new MG SUV will get a BSVI compliant engine. There are speculations that the new SUV will be powered by a 2.0 L diesel engine, a 1.5 L turbo petrol engine and a 1.5 L petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid setup.
