TVS Motor Company launched the updated version of Apache RTR 200 4V in the country. The bike is offered in two variants namely single-channel ABS and double-channel ABS. The former is priced at Rs 1.33 lakhs and the latter is retailed at Rs 1.38 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). In comparison to the outgoing TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, there is not much difference in the price.


Besides that, the updated bike flaunts a new headlamp design with an integrated DRL. Having said this, the new headlamp has been carried forward from its younger sibling TVS Apache RTR 160 4V that was launched earlier this year. The rest of the styling cues and specifications remain unchanged. The 2022 Apache RTR 200 4V continues to feature a front position lamp that functions with low & high beams simultaneously. In terms of features, the bike gets TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity, adjustable brakes, and clutch levers with three-step adjustment. Talking about the TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity, the rider can access a plethora of features like race analytics and data to review the racing style to constantly improve on the track. Moving on, the bike is offered in a total of three colors namely Gloss Black, Pearl White, and Matte Blue.

Performance-wise, the updated Apache RTR 200 4V continues to draw power from a 197.75cc single-cylinder, four stroke, 4V, oil-cooled motor that churns out a top power of 20.2 bhp at 8500rpm and a peak torque of 16.8 Nm at 7500rpm. The engine is further mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension duties are handled by a preload Showa suspension upfront and a Showa mono-shock setup towards the rear end. The bike further features three ride modes namely Sport, Urban, and Rain.
