Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the much-anticipated Ertiga facelift at a starting price of Rs 8.35 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. The price goes as high as Rs 12.79 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end ZXi+ trim. The bookings have already commenced a few days back. Also, it can be owned through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe at a monthly subscription fee starting from Rs 18,600 for petrol variants and Rs 22,400 for CNG variants.
The major change is under the hood. Having said that, the 2022 Ertiga comes equipped with a new 1.5-litre DualJet engine with start-stop technology. The engine churns out 102bhp power at 6000rpm and 136.8 Nm torque at 4400rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. Furthermore, the new Ertiga offers an ARAI certified mileage of 20.51 kmpl (petrol) and 26.11 km/kg (CNG).
In terms of design, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga features a chrome-winged grille upfront. In addition, the MPV gets back door garnished with chrome inserts and dual-tone alloy wheels. Other design bits include auto headlamps with follow me functionality, cruise control, retractable key-operated ORVMs, and many more. The S-CNG variant gets a CNG-specific speedometer.
The cabin of the Maruti Ertiga facelift boasts of a plethora of features. These include a 7-inch new Smart Play Pro infotainment system with an onboard voice assistant, Android Auto & Apple Carplay connectivity, Suzuki Connect connected car tech with over 40 features, new metallic teak wooden finish, dual-tone seat fabric among many others.
The safety kit consists of 4 airbags and ESP with hill hold assist. Other features like dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, 2nd-row ISOFIX child seat anchorages, ABS with EBD, brake assist, speed alert system, and driver & co-driver seat belt reminders come as a standard fitment across all trims.
