TVS Motor Company had launched the new Apache RTR 200 4V earlier this month at a price point of Rs 1.31 lakh (ex-showroom). TVS has equipped the motorcycle with segment-first features and cutting-edge technology. According to couple of dealers in the Delhi NCR region, it seems that the bike has got a waiting period of about 2 weeks. Its deliveries had begun soon after the launch but now it seems that which ever dealer has the stock will deliver immediately or else the customer would have to wait for a period of 15 days during which the motorcycle would be procured from the company.

The two-wheeler comes with multiple riding modes, a new Matte Blue paint scheme and an adjustable suspension system. A bit in detail about the three riding modes, they are Sport, Urban, and Rain. These modes are meant to be used in different environmental conditions. With the help of power & torque output and the ABS response, one can easily differentiate between these riding modes. The Urban Mode basically helps to tackle the heavy traffic in the city. While the Rain Mode is used for wet conditions while the Sport Mode is utilised for the highway and the racetrack. It is offered in both single and dual-channel ABS variants.

Talking about the performance, the New Apache RTR 200 4V is powered by a 197cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine. Its performance figures differ  according to various riding modes. In the Urban and Rain Modes, the bike delivers 17.3 bhp of power output and 16.5 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, in the Sport Mode it gives out a power output of 20.8 bhp and 17.25 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are taken care by a 5-speed  gearbox. Further, the bike is said to have a top speed of 127 kmph in the sport mode as per the claim of the manufacturer. In the other two riding modes, the bike's top-speed is limited to 105 kmph. Its adjustable suspension system is sourced from Showa with the front set-up equipped with a pre-loaded adjustable feature. The manufacturer has added adjustable clutch and brake levers in the 2021 Apache RTR 200 4V.
