The leaked images reveal that the 2021 Toyota Yaris takes inspiration from Toyota XP150.

The 2021 Toyota Yaris facelift has been leaked online as the patent images have gone viral on the web. The upcoming Yaris hatch will have a direct connection with the sedan sold in the Indian market. It is also being said that the 2021 Yaris sedan will have the same styling at the front fascia as the hatchback leaked in patent images. The Yaris sedan sold in India is also called Yaris Ativ and Vios in some countries and it will get the same styling updates next year as the Toyota Yaris hatchback.

The leaked images reveal that the model takes inspiration from Toyota XP150 which debuted in April 2013. It will flaunt LED headlamps with signature DRLs, which take cues from the Mk4 Toyota Yaris. For those asking, the Mk4 version of Toyota Yaris is specifically for developed nations. The leaked images also show a completely new front bumper which seems to be borrowed from the Mk12 Toyota Corolla. The front grille has also restyled from the scratch while the side and rear profiles have been carried forward from the older model. So, the Yaris is not expected to get any major changes at the rear end in its next facelift cycle. The India-spec Toyota Yaris had its world premiere in August 2017.

Toyota Yaris hatch received its first facelift in September 2017, just a month after the sedan was unveiled globally. It borrowed the styling from the sedan version and now it seems that the sedan version will borrow the designing updates including the front fascia for its facelift next year from the hatchback version. It is being learnt that Toyota Yaris facelift in India will be launched by mid 2021 when it will turn three years old. However, a few reports have indicated that before the facelifted version of the sedan is launched in the Indian market, it will get a CNG variant. In addition, speculations are rife about Toyota also introducing a taxi version of Yaris in India.
