The much-awaited Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift has finally been unveiled in the Indonesian market. The MPV is called Kijang Innova in Indonesia. The new MPV gets several additional features along with subtle cosmetic upgrades. India launch of the MPV is slated for sometime next year.

Cosmetically, the 2021 Innova Crysta Facelift retains the same silhouette as the current model. However, it gets subtle cosmetic updates, especially up front. The new model features a slightly larger front grille with a thick chrome outline in comparison to its predecessor. In addition, the grille now has five horizontal slats. Furthermore, the headlamps get chrome extensions that merge into the grille and LED DRLs. The front bumper features a blacked-out chin section with a faux silver skid plate thus giving the MPV an aggressive look. The redesigned halogen fog lamps are vertically housed in a black triangular surround. On the sides, the Innova Crysta Facelift gets 16-inch alloy wheels finished in silver similar to the ones present on the standard model. Also, the MPV gets an option of alloy wheels in the diamond-cut finish in selected trims. The rear end remains unchanged except that it now features a black hexagonal section placed between the tail-lights and extends as far down as the number plate.

The cabin design and layout of Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift remains identical to its predecessor. The MPV gets an all-black theme and a six-seat layout with the middle row providing captain seats. A seven-seat version might also be on the cards. In terms of features, the new vehicle gets a new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an in-built air purifier, and a new instrument cluster. Other equipment highlights include keyless entry and go, ambient lighting, and leatherette seat covers. Its safety kit will comprise of seven airbags, speed-sensing door locks, cruise control, vehicle stability control, hill-start assist, reversing camera among many others.

Under the bonnet, the Innova Crysta Facelift in the Indonesian market will get the same engine options as present on the standard model. The MPV will draw its power from a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.4-litre diesel engine. Having said this, India-spec Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift is likely to get a 2.4-litre diesel engine that will generate 150 bhp power and a 2.7-litre petrol unit that should develop 166 bhp power. Both the engines will either be paired to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
