Tata Motors will be launching Tigor EV on August 31, 2021, in the country. The electric sedan was unveiled two days back. The bookings for the vehicle commenced on the same day at a token amount of Rs 21,000 at select dealerships. 


2021 Tata Tigor EV: Design & Features

The 2021 Tata Tigor EV is based on the internal combustion engine (ICE) Tigor facelift that was launched last year. Design-wise, it features a new glossy black panel with an electric blue accent underlining the entire setup upfront. In addition, it gets blue highlights inside the headlamps. The electric sedan comes equipped with a plethora of features. These include a 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment unit with 4 speakers & 4 tweeters, electrically adjustable & foldable ORVMs, iRA connected car tech, multi-function steering wheel, smart key with push-button start, and portable charging cable. In terms of safety features, it gets dual airbags, a rear parking camera, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder among many others. 


2021 Tata Tigor EV: Engine Specifications

The 2021 Tigor EV now comes with Tata’s Ziptron EV powertrain that made its debut with the electric Nexon. Mechanically, the electric sedan draws its power from a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It further generates 74 bhp power and 170 Nm peak torque. The vehicle is capable of doing a sprint from 0-60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. Moreover, the battery pack is IP67 rated and comes with an 8-year warranty.

2021 Tata Tigor EV: Charging Details

The new Tigor EV can be charged up to 80 percent in just one hour using a fast charger. While with the help of a regular charger, the vehicle can be charged in 8.5 hours from any 15 A plug point. We will reveal more information in our review about the product in the first week of September.
