Suzuki released a teaser video of the new Hayabusa a few days back. Now an image has surfaced online which reveals the motorcycle ahead of its official debut. The image of the latest iteration of the faired superbike was first seen on the Instagram handle @hayabusa_taiwan. The new Hayabusa will be revealed globally on February 5, 2021. We can expect it to be introduced in the Indian market by the end of 2021.
As per the image, we could clearly see that the bike will flaunt an aggressive front fascia in comparison to its predecessor. However, it will retain the previous generation model’s design. The dual-exhaust arrangement will be carried forward on the new bike. As revealed earlier in the teaser video, the upcoming Hayabusa retains the traditional analogue speedometer and tachometer. It is also seen incorporating the TFT display in the instrument panel. Other design-bits that we can expect on the bike are LED headlights and a new tank. The bike will sit on the same twin-spar type aluminum frame.
Engine specifications of the upcoming Hayabusa have not been revealed yet. However, a patent filed in 2019 suggested that the new bike might get a larger unit so as to comply with the latest emission norms. Furthermore, we can expect the power and torque figures to see a bump. From the teaser video, we could also see that the motorcycle was hitting 290 kmph.
In comparison to its predecessor, the new Hayabusa is expected to get IMU supported cornering ABS and traction control. It might also feature the latest generation suspension, brakes, and tyres.
