The Range Rover Sport SVR comes with subtle aesthetic changes, feature upgrades, and a massive supercharged engine.

Land Rover has launched the 2021 Range Rover Sport SVR at Rs 2.19 crores (ex-showroom) in India. The performance SUV is the fastest and the most powerful Range Rover ever. It will be brought to India as a CBU from Coventry, UK. Besides this, the Sport SVR is a British automaker’s flagship offering to go on sale.

In terms of design, the Range Rover Sport SVR gets subtle upgrades in comparison to the standard version of the model. Upfront, it features larger air intakes in the bumper for improved brake cooling. Furthermore, the performance SUV gets body-coloured detailing at the rear end. The SVR badge further distinguishes the performance offering from the standard model. The brake pads and discs have been upgraded for better performance at higher temperatures.

“Range Rover SVR redefines & further elevates performance and luxury in an SUV by leveraging the best of bespoke British design and engineering. I am sure that Range Rover Sport SUV enthusiasts and fans will simply love this latest offering combining formidable British engineering craftsmanship with high end and refined luxury,” as commented by Rohit Suri, President, and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India.

Moving inside the cabin of the SVR, it comes with lightweight SVR Performance seats finished in perforated Windsor leather. The seatbacks, on the other hand, are finished in satin black. One can also find an embossed SVR logo on the headrests. Other feature highlights include a 19-speaker, 825 W Meridian audio system, Trifield technology in every seat, and a dual-channel subwoofer.

Performance-wise, the RR Sport SVR is powered by a 5.0-litre, supercharged V8 engine that churns out 567 bhp power and 700 Nm peak torque. The motor is further mated to an 8-speed torque converter. When the engine is paired with the Range Rover Sport's lightweight aluminium architecture, the SUV is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in a claimed 4.5 seconds.
