Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2021 Swift Facelift at a starting price of Rs 5.73 lakh (ex-showroom), Delhi in the Indian market. Being presented in a total of five trims namely LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi+ and ZXi+ Dual Tone, the 2021 Maruti Swift Facelift comes with styling updates, latest features, and a new petrol engine. The company has introduced three dual-tone colour options with the new hatchback in the form of Pearl Arctic White with Pearl Midnight Black Roof, Solid Fire Red with Pearl Midnight Black Roof and Pearl Metallic Midnight Blue with Pearl Arctic White Roof.

To begin with, the 2021 Maruti Swift Facelift flaunts a new front fascia with a sporty cross mesh grille and chrome accents. Its cabin boasts of several premium features such as a 10.67cm multi-information coloured twin-pod instrument cluster, cruise control, idle start & stop, key synchronized auto foldable ORVMs, and a 17.78 cm Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment system. The standard safety features in Swift Facelift include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, pretensioner & force limiter seat belts, driver & co-driver seat belt reminder, ISOFIX and reverse parking sensors with a rear-view camera. Moreover, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist has been made mandatory in the automatic variants of the hatchback.


Mechanically, the hot hatch is powered by a new 1.2-litre K-Series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine with Idle Start Stop (ISS) technology. This engine develops a top power of 88.5bhp @ 6000rpm while being offered with both manual and Automatic Gear Shift (AGS) gearbox options. The new engine is said to return best-in-segment mileage of 23.20kmpl with the manual variants and 23.76kmpl for the automatic trims. With the official launch taking place today, the bookings and deliveries of the new hatch are expected to start shortly across all the company authorized dealerships in the country.
