The 2021 Kia Sonet has been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 6.79 Lakhs (ex-showroom, pan-India) in the country. The sub-compact SUV gets 10 new enhancements such as Paddle Shifters for the entire automatic range and Rear Door Sunshade Curtains to name a few. In addition, sunroof feature has made its way to base and mid level variants from the range-topping variants. Needless to say, the 2021 Kia Sonet is the only company vehicle besides the 2021 Seltos to come with the new corporate logo of the brand.


Vehicle


Kia Sonet HTX trim will now be offered with automatic gearbox options in the form of HTX 7DCT (1.0L T-GDI Petrol) and HTX 6AT (1.5L Diesel). The new version of the SUV now gets first-in-segment Voice command for Sunroof Open & Close. Several premium safety features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA) and Hill Assist Control (HAC) have been added to the lower variants of the Sonet. Furthermore, the company has equipped the lower variants with many other advanced features like an Electric sunroof, Smart key with push button start, Remote engine start, Chrome door handles and 16-inch crystal cut alloys with silver wheel caps.

The top-end trims now boast of Multi drive modes & Traction modes as standard feature. Bookings for the 2021 Kia Sonet are now open at any of Kia’s 300+ dealerships across the country as well as online on the company's website. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Kookhyun Shim, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kia India said that the refreshed edition of Sonet marks the company's first step towards the transformation in India and reiterate its new brand purpose of inspiring consumers through products, services and their experiences with the brand. The 2021 Kia Sonet will be available across 17 variants and the variant-wise ex-showroom prices of which are listed below:
