Kia India has launched the 2021 Seltos SUV at an introductory price of Rs 9.95 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, pan-India) in the country. It comes with as many as 17 new features which also includes Paddle Shifters for automatic variants. Also, the 2021 Kia Seltos is the first company vehicle, alongside the 2021 Sonet, to flaunt its new corporate logo which was globally revealed a couple of months back. Kia Seltos competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass in the Indian market.
The South-Korean automaker has equipped multiple lower variants with many bells and whistles borrowed from the top-end variants. Premium safety features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA) and Hill Assist Control (HAC) will now be available with the lower variants too. The company has introduced two new variants namely HTK+ iMT and GTX(O). The 2021 Kia Seltos HTK+ iMT comes with the first-in-segment iMT technology while powered by a 1.5L petrol engine. The iMT technology in Kia SUVs debuted with the Sonet. The Seltos HTK+ iMT comes with a sunroof, dual-tone beige and black interiors and fully automatic air conditioner with silver garnish as standard features.
If we talk about the 17 new features that Kia has introduced in the Seltos, they include first-in-segment Smart Pure Air Purifier with ‘Virus and Bacteria’ Protection, Remote Engine Start in manual transmission, Wireless Phone projection, Over the Air (OTA) map updates, and additional Voice Commands on UVO connected car system including Sunroof Open & Close and Driver Window Control. In addition, there are multiple new seat material and colour options on offer with the interior cabin of the SUV. The Paddle shifters have been extended to a couple of Seltos variants namely GTX+ 1.5D 6AT and GTX+ 1.4T-GDI 7DCT variants in the refreshed Seltos. The 2021 Kia Seltos will be available across 16 variants and below is the variant-wise ex-showroom prices:
