Based on the 'Spacial Talents' concept, the 2021 Kia Carnival cabin gives an European feel.

The 2021 Kia Carnival had its world premiere a few weeks back. Now, the first official interior images of the MPV have been released by the South-Korean automaker. It is expected to go on sale in various global markets in the coming months but an India launch will take place only by the end of 2021. The reason for the delayed launch in the Indian market is that the current-gen model is barely four months old as it was launched in February at the 2020 Auto Expo. Kia Carnival has no direct rival in India as it sits between Toyota Innova Crysta and Toyota Vellfire.

Based on the 'Spacial Talents' concept, the 2021 Kia Carnival cabin gives an European feel with the side-by-side layout being the most prominent thing. There is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Smartphone connectivity feature. There is a fully-digital instrument cluster besides the touchscreen unit. The AC vents have been restyled from the ground while touch-sensitive temperature control, wireless charging and USB charging slots are some of the few salient features. As for the dashboard, it features a wraparound-style layout. When noticed closely, one can clearly notice that there is no gear lever as the MPV features a shift-by-wire mechanism and gear lever goes for a toss in favour of a Jaguar-esque rotary dial.

The 2021 Kia Carnival boasts of a multi-function steering wheel with audio and telephonic controls finished in gloss black. The buttons have been restyled too. The second row of seats offer a lot of practicality in the form of USB chargers and nets to hold electronic devices. The exterior images of the MPV had already been out in the public domain. If we speak about dimensions, the 2021 Carnival MPV has grown up in size with length, width and wheelbase increased by 40mm, 10mm and 30mm, respectively. Mechanically, it is expected to come in both petrol and diesel fuel trims in multiple seating configurations but the Indian market will get only the diesel-powered model in 6,7 and 8-seater layout.
