Kawasaki India has silently launched the Ninja H2R at a sticker price of Rs 79.90 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. Being a track-specific model, it is not legal for riding on public roads. The 2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2R has no direct rival in the Indian market. The Japanese motorcycle brand has increased the price of the superbike by nearly Rs 4 Lakhs as the outgoing model was priced at Rs 75.80 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India). Kawasaki has not officially confirmed about the bookings and deliveries of the Ninja H2R yet.

Being based on a trellis frame chassis with carbon fibre bodywork, the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2R doesn't get headlamp unit, rear view mirrors, pillion seat and turn indicators. Some of the other features include a fully digital instrument console, full fairing upfront and Bosch-sourced six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) which comprises of several bells and whistles such as cornering ABS, a multi-level Traction control system, slide control, launch control, wheelie control, and engine brake control. In addition, the superbike also boasts of Kawasaki bi-directional quick shifter, Kawasaki Cornering Management Function and slipper and an assist clutch as standard.

Mechanically, the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2R is powered by a 998cc 4-cylinder liquid cooled supercharged petrol engine which develops top power of 306 bhp at 14,000 rpm and peak torque of 165 Nm at 12,500 rpm. The power output can be further increased to 322 bhp with a RAM air intake. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission while the braking duties are performed by dual 330 mm disc brakes with dual semi-floating 4-piston calipers at front and a single 250 mm disc unit with a 2-piston caliper at rear. As for the suspension setup, it comes equipped with a 43 mm inverted fork upfront and an Ohlins mono-shock at rear as standard. It runs on high octane petrol with a rating RON95 or above.
