2021 Jeep Compass Facelift has been launched in the Indian market at Rs 16.99 lakhs

Jeep India has finally launched the much-anticipated Compass Facelift at a price point of Rs 16.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. The price goes as high as Rs 24.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the range topping variant Model ‘S’. Besides these, the company had also launched a Special Edition of Compass SUV at Rs 22.96 lakhs (ex-showroom) to mark its 80th Anniversary. The updated SUV was unveiled in the Indian market a few days back. The Jeep Compass was first launched in India during 2017. 


The 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift is offered in a total of 7 shades. Out of 7 colours, 4 have been retained from its predecessor - Brilliant Black, Minimal Grey, Magnesio Grey, and Exotica Red. While three of them are all-new colours - Techno Metallic Green, Galaxy Blue, and Bright White.


The New Jeep Compass Facelift will be offered in 4 trims and based on engine options & transmissions, it will come in 11 variants. The four trims are namely Sports, Longitude, Limited and Model ‘S’. The 2021 Compass Facelift retains the same silhouette as its predecessor. However, it does get subtle changes. Design bits like the seven-slot grille and trapezoidal wheel arches have been retained from the outgoing model.


The cabin of the updated Compass Facelift gets all the prime bells and whistles. It features an all-new dashboard. Key highlights include dual-zone auto AC, fully-digital 10.1-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an all-new 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a new three-spoke steering wheel, a 360-degree parking camera, a powered tailgate, wireless charging, and panoramic sunroof. The infotainment system now comes with Jeep’s new UConnect5 connected car tech. The panoramic sunroof is available in 2 trims - Model S and Limited. Talking about the top end Model ‘S’ variant, it gets body-coloured fenders and sill cladding, body-coloured front & rear fascia, dark grey roof instead of black, an all-black interior including the headliner. The Limited variant will offer a two-tone interior with brown leather inserts in its door trim and deep grey leather on the sills.


Under the bonnet, the updated SUV is offered with two engine options. A 1.4-litre multi air turbo petrol engine that is linked to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT transmission. There is also a 2.0-litre multijet turbo diesel engine that can be availed off with a 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic gearbox.
