The 2021 Honda Amaze facelift will come with a handful of cosmetic updates and new features

Honda Cars India is all set to launch the 2021 Amaze facelift on August 17 in the country. It will be a mid-cycle facelift for the sedan which was introduced in May 2018 in the Indian market. The 2021 Honda Amaze facelift will come with a handful of cosmetic updates and new features while carrying the same set of petrol and diesel engines with manual and automatic transmissions. Being the most popular model in Honda's product portfolio at the moment, Honda Amaze rivals the likes of Hyundai Aura, Maruti Suzuki DZire, Tata Tigor and Ford Aspire.

Talking about the cosmetic updates, the 2021 Honda Amaze facelift is expected to gain full-LED headlamps upfront. It will ride on newly designed alloy wheels and a tweaked pair of bumpers. The Japanese automaker might also unveil a couple of new color choices with the new iteration of the sedan. Inside the cabin, Honda might present a new fabric upholstery for the seats. However, the 2021 Honda Amaze facelift's biggest update will come in the form of a first-in-segment electric sunroof. The brand is also believed to equip the lower variants with more bells and whistles. Rest of the features with the current model will be retained and the variant nomenclature will also be carried forward.

Mechanically, the 2021 Honda Amaze facelift will come with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variants will be powered by a 1.2L 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine which will churn out top power of 90 bhp and peak torque of 110 Nm. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox as standard. On the other hand, the diesel variants will have a 1.5L 4-cylinder motor which will generate maximum power output of 100 bhp and highest torque performance of 200 Nm while linked to a 5-speed manual unit. When paired with a CVT automatic gearbox, the power output and torque delivery will be 80 bhp and 160 Nm. Honda Amaze is the only sedan in its segment to come with a CVT transmission with a diesel engine.
