It is expected to go on sale during the festive season in October this year.

The 2021 Ford EcoSport facelift has been spied testing with no camouflage whatsoever ahead of its launch in the country. Our friends at Team-BHP have acquired the clear images of the new version of the sub-compact SUV which is expected to go on sale during the festive season in October this year in the Indian market. The spy-images detail all the cosmetic updates made to the 2021 EcoSport by the company. With rumours of the American automaker exiting the Indian market, this indeed comes as a big development.

2021 Ford EcoSport Facelift Design & Features

The spy-shots reveal that the 2021 Ford EcoSport facelift will flaunt a new front fascia with elements like restyled grille with curvy inserts in black shade, tweaked bumper and L-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). The 'Ford' emblem takes the centre stage in dark chrome theme. In addition, the projector headlamps have been retained from the current model while the round fog lamp units in black finish are a new inclusion. The spy-images further state that the 2021 Ford EcoSport facelift will ride on newly-designed alloy wheels. All these exterior elements make the front of the SUV appear rather aggressive. We do not have a picture of the SUV's interior as of now but we expect a new fabric upholstery and the latest version of Ford's SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system in the cabin.

2021 Ford EcoSport Facelift Engine

It has been learnt through various sources that the 2021 Ford EcoSport facelift would come with the same set of engines as the current model. The petrol variants will be powered by the 1.5L TiVCT motor which will churn out top power of 120 bhp and peak torque of 149 Nm. It can be availed with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission. On the other hand, the diesel variants will have the same tried and trusted 1.5L 4-cylinder TDCi mill which will return maximum power of 99 bhp and peak torque of 215 Nm. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard with no automatic unit available even as an option. A few Ford dealers have run out of stock with the current version of EcoSport and hence they have stopped taking orders for it.
