2021 BS6 Force Gurkha is expected to launch in the Q4 of this year

The 2021 BS6 Force Gurkha has been one of the most awaited launches in the Indian market. The off-roader made its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo and was expected to launch during the festive season last year but that could not happen due to the multiple lockdowns imposed because of COVID-19 pandemic. However, prior to the official launch, the 2021 Force Gurkha has been leaked online. Needless to say, the leaked images reveal the rugged and refreshing character of the off-roader in a new Orange paint shade.

The biggest update given to the 2021 Force Gurkha is in the form of chassis. Underpinning a new architecture, it has also been equipped with a stronger and rigid body shell to meet the crash test standards. Moreover, it will also be ready to comply with the upcoming pedestrian safety norms. As for the styling updates, the SUV will flaunt a new grille and vintage-styled headlamps with LED DRLs upfront. Some of the other notable styling elements will include newly designed fog lamps, redesigned front and rear bumpers, wheel arches with cladding and 16-inch alloy wheels. There will be a plethora of accessories on offer too in the form of snorkel, a roof carrier and tailgate mounted spare wheel.




Not just outside but the brand has also made remarkable changes inside the cabin too. The 2021 Force Gurkha will boast of a fresh dashboard design and centre console. The infotainment system has been updated too and it will now support Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. The semi-digital instrument cluster will comprise of speedometer and tachometer. Under the bonnet, the SUV will come with the same 2.6L 4-cylinder diesel engine which has been updated to BS6 emission standards. The power output has slightly increased as compared to the BS4 version. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission with both 2WD (front-wheel-drive) and 4WD (all-wheel-drive) systems alongside the manual locking differentials controlled through levers.
