2020 Suzuki Burgman unveiled; India most likely not to feature updated maxi-scooter.

Suzuki has revealed the 2020 Burgman 200 maxi-scooter recently for the international market. It is basically a refreshed version of the scooter, which has been on sale in global markets for quite a while. This 2020 version receives three new color schemes namely White, Black and Silver as an important part of the update.

The scooter comes fitted with a 13-inch front wheel and a 12-inch rear wheel. Suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock towards the rear. While braking is handled by twin 240mm discs for the front wheel and a single 240mm disc at the rear along with dual-channel ABS. 2020 Suzuki Burgman continues to be powered by a 200cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 17.7 bhp power output and comes mated to a CVT.

Unfortunately, the maxi-scooter is unlikely to make its way to India anytime soon. However, Suzuki is likely to offer a smaller version of the scooter in India in the form of Burgman Street 125. It launched the BS6 compliant version of Burgman Street 125 in the country at Rs 77,900 (ex-showroom). It uses the 125 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor that develops 8.5 bhp @ 6750 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque @ 5500 rpm. Apart from an updated motor, the new BS6 compliant Suzuki Burgman Street 125 gets a new integrated engine start and kill switch, and a new matte red paint scheme, as part of the changes.
