2020 New-gen Hyundai Creta launching price starts at Rs 9.99 Lakhs while going as high as Rs 17.20 Lakhs.

Hyundai India has finally launched the highly anticipated 2020 new-gen Hyundai Creta BS6 at a starting price of Rs 9.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. It has crossed the 14000+ booking mark with its launch today, with 50 per cent being for BS6 diesel variants. Being showcased at the Auto Expo last month, it has been introduced in both petrol and diesel fuel trims with BS6 compliant engines. The 2020 new-gen Hyundai Creta BS6 has already raked in over 14,000 bookings with more than 50 per cent of buyers opting for diesel variants. Being originally launched in 2015 and with nearly 4.67 Lakh units sold till date, Hyundai Creta launching in India will give nightmares to the likes of Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, MG Hector and Jeep Compass in the Indian market.

The South-Korean automaker has invested Rs 1000 Crores in the development of all-new Creta while it is being presented in five trim levels: E, EX, S, SX, and SX (O). The all-new SUV adorns Hyundai's next-generation 'Sensuous Sportiness' design language with a massive cascading front grille and split LED headlamps. The company has introduced Boomerang-based DRLs along with new fog lamps and bumper design. Riding on newly-designed dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels, the rear end boasts of restyled LED tail-lamp cluster. It is being offered in 10 colour schemes: Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Phantom Black, Lava Orange, Titan Grey, Deep Forest (Turbo Only), Galaxy Blue (New) and Red Mulberry (New) including 2 Dual Tone paint schemes - Polar White with Phantom Black and Lava Orange with Phantom Black.

The cabin is finished in a plush dual-tone black and greige leatherette upholstery while the 2020 new-gen Hyundai Creta gets several premium bells and whistles. It comes with D-cut steering wheel, Huyndai Creta Blue Link Technology ambient lighting, 2 Step Rear Seat Reclining, in-built Air Purifier 17.78cm digital instrument cluster and a 26.03cm HD infotainment system with BlueLink, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. The BlueLink tech offers 50+ connectivity features while coming with a 3 years complimentary subscription (available on top-end only) and a warranty package that can be extended for up to five years of coverage. The all-new SUV also gets three Drive Mode Select - Eco, Comfort & Sport and three Traction Control Modes - Snow, Sand & Mud.

The 2020 new-gen Hyundai Creta is offered with three BS6 compliant engine options, borrowed from the Kia Seltos. The petrol variants are powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5L MPi engine which delivers 115bhp at 6300rpm and 144Nm at 4500rpm and claims ARAI certified 16.9 kmpl mileage. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, while a CVT gearbox is offered as optional. Coming to the diesel variants, they source power from a 1.5L turbocharged U2 CRDi engine which belts out 115bhp at 4000rpm and 250Nm between 1500-2750rpm and claims ARAI certified 21.4 kmpl mileage. It can be availed with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There is also the high-performance 1.4L Kappa T-GDi engine which has a maximum power of 140bhp at 6000rpm and peak torque of 242Nm between 1500-3200rpm while linked to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. It claims an ARAI certified 16.8 kmpl mileage
