2020 Maruti Dzire Facelift comes with design updates and new additional features.

Coronavirus has created havoc on car sales in the country. There has been a huge drop in sales in March due to the combined effect of slowdown and the spread of Coronavirus Pandemic. The nation-wide lockdown is yet another factor that has brought many businesses to a standstill. Most of the carmakers have suspended production to safeguard its workforce and prevent the virus from spreading with the plan to commence deliveries post lockdown.

Maruti Suzuki recently launched the Dzire Facelift in the Indian market. Recently, the sedan has been spotted at a dealership yard for the first time. The deliveries of which are expected to begin post lockdown. The automaker recently revealed a new SOP protocol with safety, sanitization, and hygiene of the customers as well as employees at the forefront. The manufacturing of the vehicle is likely to start from 12th May at the Manesar plant. 

2020 Maruti Dzire Facelift is priced in the range of Rs 5.89 lakhs - Rs 8.80 lakhs (ex-showroom). It will be offered in four variants namely Lxi, Vxi, Zxi, and Zxi+ along with two new colour options namely Premium Silver and Phoenix Red.

In terms of design,the 2020 Dzire Facelift gets a redesigned front grille and bumper. The sedan also features LED headlamps with LED DRLs. The rear end gets LED tail lights. As for interior features, the cabin of the 2020 Dzire Facelift boasts of a 7-inch touchscreen Smartplay Studio infotainment system integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets a 4.2-inch multi-information driver’s display and cruise control. Other highlighted features include Keyless Entry and Push-Button Start, Voice and Steering-Mounted Controls. 

On the safety front, the 2020 Dzire Facelift gets standard dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Top-spec variants offer a reversing camera, while automatic variants are equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill-Hold Function.

Under the skin, the sedan is powered by a 1.2-litre K12C petrol engine that produces 90 bhp power and 113 Nm torque. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The AGS automated manual transmission is offered on the Vxi, Zxi, and Zxi+ trim levels.
