2020 Hyundai Verna facelift has been unveiled ahead of its launch while bookings have also started at Rs 25,000.

Hyundai India has officially unveiled the 2020 Verna facelift in the country. The company has also initiated the pre-bookings for the facelifted sedan at a token amount of Rs 25,000 at all its dealerships. The 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift is expected to be launched before April 2020 with three BS6 compliant engine options. Being dubbed as 'India's first fully connected mid-sized sedan' with 45+ connected features, it will lock horns with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid in the Indian market.

The new 2020 Verna sedan follows Hyundai's latest ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language. Inside the cabin, it comes with a myriad of segment-first features which include Digital instrument cluster with color TFT, Front ventilated seats, Twin tip muffler design, Smart trunk, Emergency stop signal, Wireless phone charger, ECO coating, Luggage net & hooks, Rear USB charger and Arkamys premium sound system among others. Commenting on the booking announcement, Mr. Tarun Garg, Director - Sales, Marketing & Service, Hyundai Motor India Ltd.  said, “VERNA has always been an ‘Ahead of the Time’ product that has exceeded all expectations of the customers’ and created new benchmarks with its strong performance."

Mechanically, the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift will be available with three BS6 compliant engines. There will be a 1.5L petrol engine with 6-speed manual and CVT gearboxes on offer. The diesel variants will come with a 1.5L engine with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions. Hyundai will also introduce the high-performance 1.0L T-GDI petrol engine for the first time with the new Verna. Though, we have already seen this powertrain with the Venue sub-compact SUV and Grand i10 hatchback. Now, it will make its way in the mid-sized sedan alongside a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox as standard. The 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift price is expected to start around Rs 8 Lakhs (Ex.
